During her childhood on a farm in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Rebecca Alexander was surrounded by nature, art and music. These influences led her to a love of photography, painting and fashion and guided her decision to move to New York to study at The Fashion Institute of Technology.

Following her schooling at FIT, Rebecca designed a clothing line for a short time and then started to work as a stylist assistant on TV commercials. It was on set that she fell in love with freelance makeup artistry, realizing how similar makeup is to painting, using pigment, texture and light but on a three dimensional form. Rebecca quickly built a portfolio and was signed to an agency.

With a discerning eye for the understated and elegant, Rebecca has established herself as one of the industry’s most sought after artists. Rebecca’s favorite approach to the art of makeup is through a minimalist aesthetic and states, “I love flawless, natural, fresh, glowing skin. It’s the base for all that I do.”

Throughout her career, her ability to create clean, classic looks has made her a favorite for clients ranging from Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s and Natori to gracing the pages of editorials in Vogue, Glamour, Elle and Marie Claire.

Rebecca continues to reside in New York City.
