Born and raised in Japan, Yukie Miyakawa grew up playing in a local band and listening to British & American music, dreaming of one day traveling to New York and working in the music or fashion industry.

Her career as a nail artist took off in 2012 when she began working with editorial clients as an assistant to industry artists: Jin Soon, Gina Edwards, Deborah Lippmann, Honey, and others.

Her work is featured in publications such as Nylon, Town & Country, Oprah, Cosmopolitan US/China, Glamour, Real Simple, i-D, ELLE US/UK/Mexico, Vogue US/Spain/Mexico/Japan/China, Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, Interview Magazine, and more.

Her advertising work includes various clients such as Steve Madden, Madden Girl, Betsey Johnson, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, Saks, Simon Malls, Tiffany & Co., La Roche-Posay, Sol De Janeiro, Hourglass, Elf Cosmetics, Estée Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Shiseido, Dermablend, Cover Girl, Maybelline, and many others.
